Privacy Policy

Prop Scout (“we”, “us”) provides a rental property-scouting tool. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information — the email address you sign up with, and authentication data handled by our auth provider (Supabase Auth). We never see or store your password.
• Your scouting data — the properties, reference rents, neighborhoods, notes, and settings you enter or import. This is your personal decision data and is scoped to your account.
• Location data — the addresses you add, and the latitude/longitude coordinates we geocode from them (via a public geocoding service). We treat location data as personal and sensitive.
• Payment data — when you subscribe, payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe), which is the merchant of record. We do not store card details.

How we use information

We use your data solely to provide the service: storing and rendering your scouting data, running the financial model, geocoding addresses, and processing your subscription. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Storage and security

Data is stored on Cloudflare’s infrastructure (D1 / Pages). Access to your account data is restricted to authenticated requests carrying your session token. We apply industry-standard protections, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Data retention and deletion

Your data remains associated with your account until you delete it. You can delete individual properties and reference rents in the app; account deletion requests can be made to the account holder of the app you use.

Third-party services

The service uses: Supabase (authentication), Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Stripe (payments), and a public geocoding service (for addresses). Each processor handles data only as needed to provide its function and under its own privacy terms.

Your choices

• You control what you add, edit, and delete.
• You can stop using the service at any time; a paid subscription may be cancelled from your account’s billing page.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Updated” date at the top of this page.
